Elderly man "oblivious" to crashing into three cars at one intersection KGUN
TUCSON (KGUN9 - TV) - To say that an 81-year old Tucson man with an apparent history of seizures is accident prone would be an understatement. In the past 3 days, he's done quite a bit of damage driving around town.
It began Saturday when he blacked out at an eastside car wash and ended up pinning a woman against a wall breaking both of her legs.
And today that same driver in the rental he got because his car is damaged actually hit 3 cars at Speedway and Country Club. And, he kept going.
Tucson Police say he rear-ended a panel truck, backed up, drove forward and rear-ended the panel truck a second time. The man then tried to go around the panel truck and T-boned a second car.
Sgt.. Fabian Pacheco says the man then, "backs up, hits her a second time backs up and hits her a third time. Still with his foot on the gas the tires are spinning revving the engine this lady was clearly frightened didn't know what was taking place and was preparing to jump out of the car for her safety."
